What is it?

Sloppy Sokoban is a puzzle game for the Macintosh. Hence, it stresses logical thinking and spatial planning over finger-twitching reflexes. The goal is to push boulders to their correct desitations in a crowded environment. Since the boulders are so heavy, you can only push them, and the challenge develops in keeping them from getting stuck.

Our version of Sokoban is full of extra features, graphics, and original music. It is freeware and runs natively in Mac OS X.

A Little History...

Sokoban was first written in 1982 by Hiroyuki Imabayashi in Japan. The original idea behind the game was that you were a worker organizing boxes in a warehouse. Translated, Sokoban literally means "Warehouse Guard". It has since been ported to virtually every video-game and computer system in existence.

About the Music

We get a lot of questions asking. if the Sokoban music is some old jazz standard Actually, Mark's friend Brendan Kibbee wrote it just after graduating high school. in 2001. We recorded the song at Pogo Studios in Champaign with the help of several talented local musicians.

Incidentally, Brendan also wrote the MOD music for PongWars back in '98. He is now a student at Rutgers University studying Jazz Piano performance.

I just got Sloppy Sokoban off of a MacAddict CD and I LOVED IT: The game play, the graphics and the sounds. Let me just say that as a computer gamer, your game has been the best game produced by an iddy biddy company that I've ever seen.
