Have you ever felt like smacking a guy named Biff to a bloody pulp? No? Well, how about Bill Gates, Bob Dole, Hanson, a dirty alien, or Puff Daddy? Well, if you have (and who hasn't), then Smack Biff is definitely the game for you. We programmed this game over two weeks in late April '98. The sound is entertaining, as well as the bloody remains of various of your victims. You can set your skill level, allowing tougher gameplay for more experienced gamers. Those who do not have a stomach for violence can also experience the same "mouse coordination education" by setting the game to ginger-ale can mode, enabling you to repeatedly slap an aluminum can. Otherwise, its simple and excessively violent fun-filled freeware.

Doggie-Style Windows

Download!

Doggie-Style Windows was written by Mark and Justin at MacHack 2000, where it won the Best Student Hack of the conference. We wrote it as a jibe to a comment that Linuxsource evangelist, Eric S. Raymond, made during his keynote. He remarked that "all dogs instinctively know where their property line is."; So we patched some system calls and applied this behavior to all your Macintosh Windows.

This program is a little hack that you place in your Extensions folder to make all your windows avoid being in the front-window's territory. Enjoy.

Mr. Bagelbutt

Download!

Mark originally wrote Mr. Bagelbutt as a prank for his school computers when he was in 8th grade. It basically sits idle and invisible for certain amount of time before the screen is taken over by the dancing image of a man with a bagel-shaped torso who shouts and rants about his "bagelbutt". Mark was temporarily banned from the school computers when it popped up on every machine in the school one morning, but he sure got a good laugh.

Mark later uploaded the program to the net for other people to try out and that was the last we heard of it-- until we started getting e-mail from various Japanese Mac Magazines who wanted to review it. One magazine by the name of MacLife (which is apparently the most popular Mac magazine in Japan), actually sent us a copy of the issue and, sure enough, we found a review in Japanese accompanied by a little screenshot... We wonder about the Japanese sometimes.
